Moving From Glory to Glory

2 Corinthians 3:18

18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The word glory in the Old Testament is principally translated from the Hebrew word Kabod . this word could be translated to mean:

  1. To have abundant of riches
  2. To have honour , be in splendor and dwell in majesty
  • To possess great reputation and dignity
  1. To be a man of reference and to occupy a laudable position.

Another Hebrew word translated glory in the Old Testament is Tipharah (pronounced tifawraw).

This word means to be beautiful, to possess finery and to be renowned in rank.

In the New Testament, it is the Greek word Doxa. This word means dignity, glory or glorious, honour, praise among other things.

Any life that is void of glory is full of shame, frustrations, reproaches and ridicule.

God took us from our “Ichabod” state as sinners and transformed us into His image when He saved us. That process will continue until we see Him in glory and we are made to share in the perfect nature of His glory.

God is glory personified

Psa 8:1

O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens!

Everything that God created promotes His glory

Psa 19:1

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.

2Cor 3:18

18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

In Gen 45:13

13 “So you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that you have seen; and you shall hurry and bring my father down here.”

Joseph spoke of his glory in Egypt.

This is an indication of fulfilled dreams, unprecedented promotion and an unexpected lifting from shame to a celebrated fame.

Joseph was a man who dreamt about glory, fought great battles on his way to glory and eventually sat on the throne of glory.

Prayers

  1. O Lord God of Joseph, let every man struggling with the glory of my life crash before me today in Jesus name.
  2. Every principality of my father’s house that is against my glory fall today and never rise again in Jesus name.
  3. O Lord God of Joseph, push me by your mighty power to the place of my glory in Jesus name.
  4. O Lord God of Joseph, arrange speedily for me the promoter of my Glory in Jesus name.
  5. The helper of my glory, the promoter of my glory, where are you? Manifest speedily from today in Jesus name.

Our God is the owner and the giver of glory

1Chr 29:11

11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, And You are exalted as head over all.

1Sam 2:8

8 He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. “For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, And He has set the world upon them.

Prayers

  1. O God of my salvation, use all your power as God to lift my life from shame to glory in Jesus name.
  2. God of all glory, show me uncommon mercy tonight. Change my story from today in Jesus name.
  3. Every garment of shame that I inherited from my father’s house and mother’s house, catch fire and burn down to asses in Jesus name.

Grace and glory are inseparable; both are gifts of God to a man He has chosen to favour

Psa 84:11

11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.

Any man who possesses grace and glory will also possess all good things of life.

Prayers

  1. Spirit of grace and glory, possess my life from today in Jesus name.
  2. My Father 3x. you are the giver of grace and glory. Give them to me in abundance from today in Jesus name.
  3. Every good thing that belongs to grace and glory, begin to manifest in my life from today in Jesus name.

As grace is in classes, glory is also in degrees

1Cor 15:41

41 There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.

A small man with a small mind will brag with small glory; a big man with a big heart will aspire to rise in glory into a higher manifestation.

Complacency is a state of celebrating the good whereas a better is possible. While you appreciate God for the common glory, never stop pushing forward until your star becomes a sun. that is the difference between contentment and complacency.

Prayers

  1. O Lord my God, change my class today. Move my by power to a new level of glory in Jesus name.
  2. Every satanic chain tying my life to one level, break by fire in Jesus name.
  3. Angel of promotion, visit my life and family today. I am ready for the next level in Jesus name.

There is a glory which the world cannot know or have. This glory is reserved exclusively for the redeemed of the Lord.

2Cor 3:18

18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2Cor 4:17

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory

Col 3:4

4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Those who desire to experience this glory has a duty to themselves

1Joh 3:1-3

1 ¶ Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
