The Benefits of Christ’s Resurrection

Eph 1:15-23

15 ¶ Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,

16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:

17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,

23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Acts 1:3

3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

The resurrection of Christ is the heart of spirituality. It is the proof of the divinity of Christ and the very essence of Christianity.

  • If Christ did not resurrect, our faith is baseless and our lives are miserable.

1 Cor. 15 : 17-20

17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!

18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.

20 ¶ But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

  • The hope of resurrection in all humanity lies in the resurrection of Christ.

1 Cor. 15 :20-22

20 ¶ But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

  • The resurrection of Christ is what makes Christianity different from all other religions. It is a proof that we serve a living God.

1 Pet. 1 : 3

3 ¶ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

1 Thes 4 :14

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

  • For those who place their hope in Christ , the resurrection of Christ is critical to their faith for the following reasons:
  1. Through it, we conquer death and the fear of death.

Acts 2 :23-24

23 “Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;

24 “whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.

Heb 2:14-15

  1. It gave Christ a position in the heavenly where we are all seated in the spiritual realm with him.

Heb 10:12

12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God

Psa 110:1

1 ¶ The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

Eph 1:22

  1. It gave us the proof that we will also live forever.

1 Cor. 15:20

20 ¶ But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

1 Pet 1:3

3 ¶ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

  1. It is the power of his resurrection that transforms us from being canal men into real spiritual people.

Rom 8:11

11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Eph 2 :5

5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

  1. It offers the saints the unimaginable power of God and reposition the saint in spiritual dominion.

Psm 8:6

6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,

  1. It gave Christ a supreme name through which believers can exercise supreme authority on earth.

Phi 2 :9-10

9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,

10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

  1. It gives the authentic assurance that every dead thing can come alive.

John 5:25

25 “Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.

The resurrection of Christ is the authentic proof that all dead thing can come back to life

Today invoke the power of Christ’s resurrection on all dead things, and issues in your life and they shall come back to life.
