Busy but Starving

And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat Mark 6:31.

The life of a man is full of many coming and going; man is an activity-prone and ever busy creature. From dusk to dawn every day, man is always on the move. In most cases these activities drain our spiritual energy.

A man who is engaged in endless hustle and bustle of life without a time of retreat therefore is at the risk of spiritual starvation and eventual spiritual insolvency.

Unfortunately many do not care about the state of their spiritual potency; they just continue on and on until they become shadows and history of their spiritual past.

Our Lord knew the perils of activities without renewal. He therefore called His disciples aside so that they could rest and eat. He knew that going on like that with no time to eat and rest will ultimately lead to sudden death.

Jesus was not carried away by the continuous influx of the multitude. He understood that the multitudes were there just because they had something to offer; they were like parasites, once the host is dead, the parasite will find its way.

Beloved child of God, do you have a time for retreat and refill? Or are you a man who does not know when to stop to take a rest.

Imagine a good car on a good road on a very long journey. If the driver does not care about the fuel gauge; if he was too preoccupied with the journey and think less of a short break to refill at a fuel or gas station, he may not reach his destination. The car will stop on the road where he may be seriously stranded.

Dear friend, do not become stranded in your spiritual journey. Do not starve your soul and spirit to death. Learn to stop to refill and refresh. The world can wait while you have a break to top up your spiritual life. Those who don’t know how to wait will eventually wane and may not finish well.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint Isa 40:30-31.

I see a torrential rain of God’s goodness and mercy falling into your life, family and business this month leading to a big flood of miracles, signs and wonders in your life. This is a new month; a month of uncommon blessings and God’s special visitation.

This month, you will be specially visited by God. Your mourning shall be turned to dancing and your grief to grace.

This month, the hand of God will touch all the problem spots of your life and there shall be a dramatic turnaround in Jesus name.

Before the end of this month, you will call me for a big testimony and huge celebration in Jesus name.
