Then Pilate said to Him, “Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?” Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above… John 19:10-11.
Jesus was never a kind of person who could be intimidated by a man’s threat simply because the man seats on a throne that is transient.
No doubt, Pilate was a ruler, the governor of Judea. He held the authority of Caesar. But not even the presence of Caesar himself would make Jesus forget who He was. Pilate was a sub-leader under an earthly emperor but Jesus is the king of kings and Lord of lords. He was never going to forget that He has authority both on earth and in heaven. Even when Pilate did not know who He was, he never forgot who He was and His position and power in God.
Beloved, why on earth will you kill yourself because of what a man said? Who is that man that has the final authority over your life? Is he the one that formed you in the womb of your mother or designed your destiny? Why will you kill yourself because a man has spoken and gave a verdict over your life? Why should a man who may never wake up tomorrow make you to lose confidence in the everlasting God and forget who you are in Him?
The Lord is saying: “I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Of a man who will die, And of the son of a man who will be made like grass? And you forget the LORD your Maker, Who stretched out the heavens And laid the foundations of the earth; You have feared continually every day Because of the fury of the oppressor, When he has prepared to destroy. And where is the fury of the oppressor? Isa 51:12-13.
David said: The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? Psa 118:6
and “So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Heb 13:6.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Rom 8:31-32.
Beloved, do not fear the empty threats of a man and or of the devil; none of them has the final say over your life. You have every right to accept or reject what a man or Satan decrees over your life. Don’t forget:
“…whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Mat 16:19.
So tell that enemy or his agent, “Your word will never be final over my life in Jesus name”. “I bind every decision or verdict contrary to the mind of God over my life in Jesus name”. Stand up now and pray!
The Lord will shame every agent of Satan threatening your life in Jesus name.
I command that every rubbish men and Satan have spoken concerning you is hereby declared null and void and of no effect whatsoever in Jesus name.
Enjoy your day and rejoice in the God of your salvation.
